Christian or Disciple?

Are you just a Christian, or are you a Disciple? Anyone can hide behind "Christian", but no one can hide while a Disciple of Christ. Jesus clearly states He wants Disciples NOT Christians! There are people who claim to be Christian but live hypocritical lives. The New Testament says "Christian" only a few times... but Disciple, now that's everywhere you look in the New Testament! Now being a Disciple comes at a cost, but the rewards/blessings that come with being a Disciple exceed the cost tremendously!
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."(Matthew 28:18-20)

He Is Risen!

"He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay." (Matthew 28:6)

 Today is not about dyeing eggs or baskets full of yummy candy, It's about Jesus! He has risen from the dead!  "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" (1 Corinthians 15:55) JESUS IS ALIVE! We (sinners) are blessed with His everlasting love. Spread the good news to the lost souls, to the ones who don't even know His name. "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19)

Good Friday-The Ultimate Sacrifice

"For God so loved the world He gave is only begotten son" - John 3:16

 Jesus died on the cross for our sins saying "Father forgive them they know not what they do!"-(Luke 23:34) While we were enemies of Christ He forgave us. How great is our savior! JESUS, A love like no other!

Spiritual needs > Physical needs

 A lot of missionaries focus more on the physical needs of the world rather than the spiritual needs. They go out and give to the hungry, build schools and hospitals, which are all good, but just focusing on physical will never matter once they leave earth. Sure they may die healthy, but they'll be in hell rotting and screaming in torturous pain never seeing the grace of God. That should break your heart! I'm not saying stop feeding the hungry or giving education, I'm saying let's ALSO focus on spiritual health,  spread Jesus! There are millions of lost souls who have never heard of Jesus Christ and his salvation.
Its important that people's spiritual needs are met first than their physical needs.

 K.P. Yohannan says it best (Revolution In World Missions)   - "Focusing only on meeting physical needs is like throwing stones at a tank."

FAITH > fear

 Faith is God's gift to us. Fear = False Evidence Appearing Real
Most of the time, the things we fear most never become reality..but our minds like to perceive them (false fears) as being more realistic than anything else. False fears come from the enemy to try and knock us down...but having faith demolishes our fears. So live by faith and not by sight!


                           Fear Ends When FAITH Begins 


"God did not give us a spirit of fear, but He gave us a spirit of power and love and a calm and well-balanced mind, discipline and self-control." ( 2 Timothy 1:7 )




But Jesus spoke to them at once. "Don't be afraid," he said. "Take courage. I am here!" (Matthew 14:27)

 "Religion says Do, JESUS says DONE, Religion says Slave, JESUS says SON" This guy knows the truth! - JESUS > Religion - You can't earn the love of God because He fiercely loves you already... He DIED for you when you were His enemy! You are LOVED & FORGIVEN every single day. Give glory to God, live for Him, spread the good news.
